2-week-old baby boy | Washington D.C. photography studio

This handsome little guy came to my studio when he was 2 weeks old.  He was a good little sleeper, so we were able to capture his sweetness in quite a large variety of shots. (I was excited that his mama loved plaids as much as I do!) When he woke up near the end of his session, however, I was also happy to sneak in an “awake” shot of his bright eyes…I just love his sweet little expression — that wrinkled forehead!!  (See the final image.)
I couldn’t be happier for this precious boy’s mom and dad — congratulations, C & R!

Maternity portrait sessions are so fun because they are filled with excitement, joy, and anticipation. There is something really special about photographing a glowing mom-to-be, regardless of whether she is awaiting her first or fifth baby.

I also know how busy (and often exhausting) that time before baby’s arrival can be, so I try to make maternity portraits as easy and stress-free as possible. With my client closet of beautiful dresses and professional hair and makeup artistry to make you look and feel your best, all you need to do is show up for your session; I will take care of everything else! Consider your maternity session some pre-baby pampering that will result in some beautiful images that you will treasure long after your little one arrives!
