A panel of 36 eminent jurors from across the United States selected the top photographs from over 5,000 total submitted entries at PPA headquarters in Atlanta.

Gorgeous Baby S | Chevy Chase Potomac Silver Spring newborn photographer | Washington D.C. newborn photography

I have had the pleasure of photographing so many gorgeous babies this Fall, including little Miss S (I mean, seriously, look at her sweet little face and amazing hair!).  There were so many things that I *loved* about her session. . . I loved that this sweet girl was fairly alert during parts of her session, as it allowed me to capture some of her incredibly adorable expressions (be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom).  I loved that her parents appreciate autumn tones as much as I do, especially because I think that the burnt orange color — one of my favorites — was made for this cutie.  And, most of all,  I loved that it was evident from the moment I met her family that this little girl could not possibly be more loved.  (She will undoubtedly have her daddy wrapped around her little finger in no time at all. 😉 )
I truly couldn’t be happier for this lovely family!

Beautiful Baby M | D.C. newborn photography | Bethesda Silver Spring Potomac newborn photographer

I loved everything about this gorgeous 9-day-old sweet girl’s newborn session.  She was an amazing sleeper (though I did manage to catch a few photos of her with her eyes open), she flashed me some adorable smiles, and I couldn’t get over her amazing hair and cheeks!  It was also such a pleasure to spend a few hours chatting with her truly lovely parents.  It is sometimes hard for me to believe that my job consists of snuggling and photographing precious new babies and getting to know so many wonderful families!
I couldn’t be more thrilled for this new family of three, and I am so grateful that they chose me to help them capture their memories of those fleeting first weeks of their sweet girl’s life.

Silver Spring, Maryland newborn studio session | Washington, D.C. newborn photography

Spring newborn sessions are among my favorites, and my session with this gorgeous little girl was certainly no exception!  I love incorporating the cheery pastel colors of spring, as well as my clients’ favorite flowers or greens.   For this little sweetheart’s session, we incorporated a floral garland that hangs in her nursery, as well as some sunflowers, which were special to her parents because they had included sunflowers in their wedding celebration.  I love working with my clients to customize their newborn sessions to make them even more meaningful!
I have included some of my favorite images from this session below.  Can you even stand how adorable this little beauty is with her snuggle bunny (7th photo)?!
