Meet sweet baby Jackson. He has the distinction not only of having the most gorgeous full head of hair of any of the week-old newborns I have photographed, but also of being my very first celebrity client. 🙂 If any of you have watched the most recent season of the Bravo tv show “Newlyweds The First Year,” you are familiar with Laura and Kirk, season two’s endearing and good-natured Washington, D.C. based couple. At the time that Laura and Kirk booked me for their newborn portraits, I had never seen or heard of “Newlyweds The First Year” but, naturally, I had to start watching! Not only did I become hooked on the show, but, by the time of Jackson’s newborn session, I felt like Kirk and Laura were old friends. I had such a great time chatting with them as I snuggled and photographed their gorgeous little boy.
Although I am always overjoyed for every single one of my newborn clients (I seriously think that I am often as excited as the new parents :)), I am truly bursting with happiness for Kirk and Laura. As fans of “Newlyweds” know, Laura and Kirk traveled a difficult and painful road to parenthood; my heart broke for them as they openly shared their journey. So when they arrived for their portrait session with gorgeous, healthy, perfect-in-every-way baby Jackson, my eyes may have gotten a little moist. I couldn’t possibly be happier for Laura and Kirk. And, baby Jackson, I know that you couldn’t possibly be more loved.
