Beauty Revived Nominations | Silver Spring, MD Child Photographer

Earlier this week, Beauty Revived and Lemonade and Lenses magazines announced the photographers selected for the 50 most beautiful children campaign.  I am so excited and grateful to have been chosen as one of the 50 photographers around the country who will participate in this wonderful project to showcase children demonstrating true beauty:    Children who have inspiring stories,  who have overcome obstacles in their young lives, who have displayed courage, who have an amazing heart, or who live their lives giving to or serving others.

If you have, or know of, a child who demonstrates true beauty as described above,  I would love for you to nominate him or her to be featured as one of Beauty Revived’s 50 most beautiful children.

Nominations accepted through Sunday, June 20.

The child chosen will receive a complimentary portrait session with me and digital files, and his or her story and photographs will be featured in the August printed and digital issues of Beauty Revived, and on the Lemonade and Lenses blog.

To nominate a child, please email the following information to me at tina@tinakraftsphotography.com:

Child’s age (must be between 2 and 16 years old)

The child’s story 

Although I would absolutely love to feature every nominated child, as every child is beautiful in his/her own way, I am only permitted to choose one for this campaign.  I will be in touch with the selected child’s family on or around June 22 so that we can begin planning for their session!

    Newborns are only newborns for 2-3 weeks.
    The newborn stage is fleeting in a way that almost feels impossible. Those early days blur together in a mix of sleepless nights, quiet snuggles, and tiny details that change far too quickly.

    One moment, you’re cradling a tiny newborn who fits perfectly in your arms, marveling at each yawn and sleepy smile, and the next, you’re watching your “baby” stride out the door with independence in her step and a world of her own unfolding. The days feel long in the beginning - filled with diapers, first words, and small milestones - but somehow the years collapse into each other. Time moves quietly, until suddenly the baby who once reached for your hand is reaching for her future, and you’re left wondering how it all passed in what feels like the blink of an eye.

    I write this from experience. I started my photography business when my kids were little … and now they are both adults. 🥹 I am grateful that they willingly agreed to be my photography subjects (albeit with a little bribe at times), and that I have treasured portraits of them throughout the years as a result.
    Reflecting on all of this recently has led me to the conclusion that I would love to offer the same to my clients. Soooooo….I am returning to my roots and bringing back children’s portrait sessions!
